1. Who we are

Upper Cyber is a Houston-area technology consulting practice providing IT consulting, Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity guidance, local SEO, and Google Business Profile support. For privacy questions, contact info@uppercyber.net.

2. Information we may receive

We may receive information that you choose to provide, including your name, email address, phone number, company name, the contents of a question or message, and details you provide when requesting a consultation. Please do not send passwords, access codes, protected health information, or confidential client records through this website.

When you use the question form, the site prepares a message in your device’s email application addressed to info@uppercyber.net. The current form does not store the submission in an Upper Cyber website database. Your email provider and device may process the message according to their own policies.

We may also receive limited technical information, such as browser, device, approximate location, referring page, and interaction data, when this is made available by hosting, security, or analytics services used by the website.

3. How we use information

We may use information to respond to questions, schedule or manage consultations, communicate about requested services, provide and improve the website, maintain security, prevent misuse, keep appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. We do not use information for a purpose materially incompatible with the purpose for which it was provided without an appropriate legal basis or notice.

4. When information may be shared

We may share information with service providers that help operate the website, email, hosting, security, analytics, and scheduling functions; with Microsoft when you use Microsoft Bookings; and with professional advisers, government authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate misuse, or support a business transaction.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not ask you to submit sensitive client information through the public question form.

5. Third-party services and links

The website may link to Microsoft Bookings, Google services, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other third-party platforms. Those platforms operate under their own privacy notices and terms. Upper Cyber does not control how a third party processes information after you leave this website.

If analytics or similar measurement tools are enabled, they may use cookies or comparable technologies to understand site use and performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although some site functions may be affected.

6. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and the purpose for which it is processed. No website, email system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide services, maintain legitimate business records, resolve disputes, protect the website, or satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by the nature of the information and the engagement.

7. Privacy choices and requests

You may contact info@uppercyber.net to ask about personal information associated with your request, correct information, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify a request and may retain information when necessary for security, legal, contractual, or recordkeeping purposes.

Some Texas privacy rights and exemptions depend on the size, status, activities, and data practices of a business. This notice is not a determination that any particular law applies or does not apply to Upper Cyber. Counsel should review the business’s actual practices and obligations.

8. Children

This website is intended for business owners and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children through the public question form.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, services, or information practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

10. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy may be sent to info@uppercyber.net. You may also return to the Upper Cyber homepage to learn about services or schedule a consultation.
